My name is Veronica Gorham-Moister. For the past 16 years I have had my own Company Called Metamorphosis Weight Loss. I have been helping women achieve their fitness and weight loss goals as a Nationally Certified Personal  Trainer, Nutrition & Weight Loss Specialist and Certified Life & Wellness Coach. In those 16 years I got to watch hundreds of women change their bodies and lead healthier lives. My other achievements in the Fitness and Weight Loss industry included: Writing a Weight Loss book, being a featured guest on "Oprah", writing weight loss advice columns for various newspapers,magazines and even hosting a healthy cooking show called "Fresh Family Meal Makeovers" for almost 3 years. Well as you can see fitness and nutrition were my first passion. However, after becoming a single Mom in 2009 to three small children, I knew I wanted and needed to make a change so I would be able to financially provide the very BEST life they so deserved.
Unfortunately as many American's, my 9 years of higher education and experience as a business owner left me NO employment options. I could work at a gym, restaurant, retail, bank, but after taxes it cost more per hour to have my three children (2, 4 and 6 yr olds) in daycare. I had only $27.33 to my name and faced eviction; I only had ONE shot. That shot was my tax refund check. I could pay one month of bills, pay for advertising for more training clients, or invest?
Time came to reinvent myself . My Mom always said to me "Do what you love and the money will come". So I decided to enroll in Beauty School and now I can proudly say I am a Certified Novalash Eyelash Extensionist, a Certified Electrologist a wax specialist and Laser Hair Removal Technician. With this new education Eye Candy Lash Lounge was created. However, lashes did NOT come easy to me AT ALL:( After 3 months of practicing on friends, fellow students, old clients, I had met my match. I had NEVER tried this hard at anything in my life and been this defeated. I reached another fork in the road. I had "lashed" a friend of mine and did such a poor job that when she left I broke down, HARD! It was the first time I cried since becoming a single Mom. My three kids walked in and I was so overwhelmed by horrible feelings that I made the wrong choice. I had ONE chance to pull us out of this scary mess and I blew it! That self pitty party only lasted a few hours. In the morning I spoke to my teacher and she said the only thing standing in my way is simply PRACTICE! So, I took my last $27.33 and went to a few dollar stores and bought every pair of strip lashes they had. My son is quite the doll hoarder so EVERY night after their bedtime I glued strip lashes on his doll heads and lashed until 2-3:00am. And after 3 weeks, I got good, REALLY good. And they came, and they came, and their friends, Moms', sister's, bosses, cousins, and so on.......Watching the instant gratification on my clients faces is beyond gratifying!!
Lucky for me, my Mom was correct. I opened Eye Candy Lash Lounge in May 2011 and I have been SO BLESSED at how quickly my business has grown to well over 200 clients. On a shoe-string budget, and a dream . I am able every day to do what I love and give myself and my three children a beautiful life. I just deleted the next part that was here saying one day my dream is to open my own Lash Lounge because after only under 2-years, working 72-hours a week MY DREAM CAME TRUE....Eye Candy Lash Lounge opens January 2013!!!!
